All City of Southfield offices and facilities (excluding the 46th District Court) will remain closed to the public until at least Monday, March 15, 2021 or further notice in accordance with the most recent state of Michigan public health order. All essential public safety and public works services and departments continue to function as normal. Residents can still conduct most city business online and through City Hall’s main drop box 24/7 as well as via phone during the City Hall regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Emergency Medical Dispatch
When calling for help in a medical emergency the dispatcher may ask specialized questions and provide pre-arrival instructions to the caller. Answer all questions, stay clam, and do not hang up.
Telecommunication Device for the Deaf TDD
The enhanced 9-1-1 system also supports TDD (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf). If a person calls 9-1-1 using a telecommunications device for the deaf or hearing impaired the Dispatcher can communicate with the person to determine the problem. Dispatchers accept text to 9-1-1 in Oakland County and are able to process Real-Time Text (RTT) calls.
