Winter Activities Guides Are on the Way!

The Southfield Parks & Recreation Winter Activities Guide is currently being mailed to residents and is also available online. This seasonal guide is filled with opportunities for all ages—including family events, youth sports, adult fitness, and 50+ programs.

Winter is a great time to explore something new. Whether you’re looking to stay active, learn a new skill, or try a different sport, the Winter Activities Guide offers a wide variety of classes and programs to help you start the new year inspired and engaged.

Skate for a Cause

Tuesday, December 23 | 5–6:50 p.m.

Celebrate the season of giving with a night on the ice at our annual Skate for a Cause! Take a break from the holiday rush and enjoy a fun, family-friendly evening while supporting local families in need.

Admission and skate rental are FREE with the donation of a non-perishable food item per person. Everything collected will go directly to local food assistance programs serving Southfield families.

Whether you're lacing up for the first time or you’re a seasoned skater, everyone is welcome! Bring friends, bring family, and help spread some holiday cheer in a meaningful way.

Discover why pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in America! Our beginner-friendly lessons are designed especially for adults ages 50 and older who want to stay active, learn new skills, and meet new people in a supportive, fun environment.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of the game, including rules, scoring, court positioning, and basic techniques—all while building confidence on the court.

This brand-new park was designed just for pups (and their people) with:
