Soulful Santa Workshop & Holiday Market

Southfield Parks & Recreation is excited to introduce the all-new Soulful Santa Workshop & Holiday Market! Enjoy a festive day of family fun including:

🎅 Professional photos with Black Santa
🎨 Elf Workshop Stations — create ornaments, cards, DIY gifts & write letters to Santa
🧑‍🎄 Visits with costumed characters
☕ Hot Cocoa Bar & baked goods vendor
🛍️ Holiday Market open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. for all your gift-shopping needs

Tickets: $8 Southfield residents | $10 non-residents
All attendees ages 2 + must have a ticket. One adult must be present per family.

🍬 Gingerbread House Workshop & Contest

Ready, set…decorate!
Join us for a sweet and spirited Gingerbread House Workshop with a twist — it’s also a friendly contest! Build and decorate your very own gingerbread house using provided supplies, then see how your creation stacks up in our lighthearted competition.

All supplies are included, and prizes will be awarded! No baking skills required — just bring your creativity and holiday cheer.

Discover why pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in America! Our beginner-friendly lessons are designed especially for adults ages 50 and older who want to stay active, learn new skills, and meet new people in a supportive, fun environment.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of the game, including rules, scoring, court positioning, and basic techniques—all while building confidence on the court.

Skate for a Cause

Tuesday, December 23 | 5–6:50 p.m.

Celebrate the season of giving with a night on the ice at our annual Skate for a Cause! Take a break from the holiday rush and enjoy a fun, family-friendly evening while supporting local families in need.

Admission and skate rental are FREE with the donation of a non-perishable food item per person. Everything collected will go directly to local food assistance programs serving Southfield families.

Whether you're lacing up for the first time or you’re a seasoned skater, everyone is welcome! Bring friends, bring family, and help spread some holiday cheer in a meaningful way.

This brand-new park was designed just for pups (and their people) with:

✔️ Secure, fenced play space
✔️ Solar-lit walking paths
✔️ Expanded parking lot with EV-charging coming soon
