All City of Southfield offices and facilities (excluding the 46th District Court) will remain closed to the public until at least Monday, March 15, 2021 or further notice in accordance with the most recent state of Michigan public health order. All essential public safety and public works services and departments continue to function as normal. Residents can still conduct most city business online and through City Hall’s main drop box 24/7 as well as via phone during the City Hall regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Business Development administers a proactive business retention and expansion program designed to support businesses in the City of Southfield by coordinating the delivery of local, state and federal assistance and incentive programs. This includes offering site selection services, financing programs, workforce training, and other incentives. Staff also work with businesses to build productive dialog, establish strong relationships, and to uncover and address other important issues.
