Evergreen Road between 9 Mile and Northwestern Highway will be limited to Northbound traffic only beginning Monday, September 18. Southbound traffic will be detoured via Lahser Road.

The city of Southfield is currently performing road improvements on a one mile section of Evergreen Road between Nine Mile Road and Northbound Northwestern Service Drive. The work consists of reconstructing the roadway (removing and replacing the entire road pavement structure) between, and including, the Nine Mile intersection with Evergreen Road, to M-10 (Lodge Freeway), gapping the bridge, and reconstructing the bridge approaches up to the Northbound Northwestern Service Drive.

Stage Two of the project is expected to begin on Monday, September 18 and will limit the roadway to Northbound traffic only, placing traffic on the newly constructed pavement. Southbound traffic will be detoured via Lahser Road.

The project is expected to be completed in November.
