All City of Southfield offices and facilities (excluding the 46th District Court) will remain closed to the public until at least Monday, March 15, 2021 or further notice in accordance with the most recent state of Michigan public health order. All essential public safety and public works services and departments continue to function as normal. Residents can still conduct most city business online and through City Hall’s main drop box 24/7 as well as via phone during the City Hall regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

The Secret Society of Twisted Story Tellers® are back to close out Southfield Celebrates Black History Month 2021. This year they are taking the show virtual with stories of Pride & Prejudice. The Zoom Webinar event will take place live on Friday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.00. Produced and directed by Satori Shakoor and hosted by Cheryl James, the show will feature true and personal stories told by storytellers Carolyn Carter, Frank Joyce and Ken Coleman along with musical guest Kym Brady, the Urban Violinist. Legacy Dance Studio Tiaras dance group will perform the piece Good Trouble, choregraphed by Christopher Huggins followed by a special after show Q&A with the performers as well as an opportunity to browse the virtual Storytellers Marketplace.
