As students prepare to return to the classroom, a coalition of community partners is helping ensure Stevenson Elementary School families have the resources they need for a successful start to the school year.

The annual Stuff the Bus initiative, organized in partnership with the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce, Kroger, First Student, and Southfield Public Schools, brought together volunteers to collect and distribute school supplies and food for Stevenson Elementary School families in Southfield.

Volunteers packed and loaded 500 grocery bags that will be distributed through Stevenson Elementary's longstanding food assistance program, helping families experiencing food insecurity as they prepare for the new school year. The generous donation will strengthen the school's ongoing efforts to support students and families beyond the classroom.

The initiative highlights the impact of partnerships between businesses, schools, and community organizations, demonstrating how collaboration can make a meaningful difference for Southfield families. By addressing basic needs before the first day of school, the program helps ensure students are nourished, supported, and ready to learn.
