D. 22108 W 8 Mile Road (Request of Eagle Landscaping to expand its operations at 20779 Lahser onto the subject properties) – no recommendation passed at the December 18, 2024 meeting – action was postponed until the site stormwater design issue was resolved to the satisfaction of the City Engineer.

1. PZR24-0013 (REZONING – PUBLIC HEARING) is a request of Deborah and Ron Eagle, Eagle Landscaping and Supply Co., to rezone the parcel at 22108 W 8 Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan (Parcel 24-33-476-060) from B-3 General Business and I-L Light Industrial to I-1 Industrial.

2. PSLU24-0021 (SPECIAL USE – PUBLIC HEARING) is a request of Deborah and Ron Eagle, Eagle Landscaping and Supply Co., to expand the operations Eagle Landscaping and Supply Co. located at 20779 Lahser, onto the abutting property at 22108 W 8 Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan (Parcels 24-33-476-060).

E. 27100-300 W 11 Mile Road (Request of Brady Sullivan Properties for site plan approval to renovate the 27200 and 27300 W 11 Mile buildings for multiple family residential use with other potential accessory uses on lower floors, the 27100 W 11 Mile building is to remain in commercial/office usage.)

1. PSP25-0006 (SITE PLAN REVIEW) is a request of Brady Sullivan Properties, to renovate the existing 27200 and 27300 W 11 Mile Southfield, MI office buildings for multiple family residential use with other potential accessory uses on the lower floors, the 27100 W 11 Mile building is to remain in commercial/office usage (Parcels 24-18-351-016, -017 & -018).

F. PTZA25-0005 (ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT – PUBLIC HEARING) – is a Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to amend Title V, Zoning and Planning, Chapter 45, Zoning, of the Code of the City of Southfield by amending Article 4 – Section 5.37-1 Fence Regulations to add a definition and regulations related to publicly installed and maintained fencing along public road rights-of-way.

H. Public Comment – A person addressing the Commission shall be limited to a period of three (3) minutes unless such period of time is extended by the presiding officer or by majority vote of the Commission.

The following Rules of Procedure have been established for all speakers:

  • No speaker may make personal or impertinent attacks upon any officer, employee, or Planning Commission member, that is unrelated to the manner in which the officer, employee, or Planning Commission member, performs his or her duties.
  • No person shall use abusive or threatening language toward any individual when addressing the Planning Commission.

Any person who violates this section shall be directed by the presiding officer to be orderly and silent. If a person addressing the Planning Commission refuses to become silent when so directed, such person may be deemed by the presiding officer to have committed a “breach of the peace” by disrupting and impeding the orderly conduct of the public meeting of the Planning Commission and may be ordered by the presiding officer to leave the meeting. If the person refuses to leave as directed, the presiding officer may take whatever actions are necessary to remove the person from the meeting. Call in number for Communication will be provided the night of the meeting.
