The Lincoln Drive Bridge over I-696 has been closed as of today, August 26, 2025 for bridge maintenance as part of the freeway project.  The posted detour is to take 11 Mile instead.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) website, the bridge will be reopened on September 13.

UPDATE: MDOT has re-opened the Lincoln Road Bridge to allow local residents and the nearby schools to better prepare for the closure. The new bridge closure date is September 8. The bridge is expected to remain closed for 3-4 weeks.
