All City of Southfield offices and facilities will remain closed to the public until at least Monday, February 1, 2021 or further notice in accordance with the most recent state of Michigan public health order. All essential public safety and public works services and departments continue to function as normal. Residents can still conduct most city business online and through City Hall’s main drop box 24/7 as well as via phone during the City Hall regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Volunteers Needed for the Mayor’s Big Rake

Southfield Mayor Kenson Siver, in partnership with Home Depot, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Great Lakes Ace Hardware of Southfield, will host The Big Rake on Saturdays November 9, 16, 23 and December 7 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. December 8 is reserved as a rain date.
The Big Rake is organized by the Mayor’s office to help seniors or disabled Southfield residents with fall lawn maintenance. Volunteers are needed to help rake leaves. Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement will donate paper yard bags for use at the event. Other dates and times may be scheduled depending on need. Last fall, more than 350 volunteers helped to clear over 120 yards.
