Southfield Mayor Kenson Siver, in partnership with Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement of Southfield, will host The Big Rake on November 4, 11, 18 and December 2 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Big Rake is organized by the Mayor’s office to help seniors or disabled Southfield residents with fall lawn maintenance. Volunteers are needed to help rake leaves. Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement donated paper yard bags for use at the event. Other dates and times may be scheduled depending on need. Last fall, 250 volunteers helped clear 75 yards in five days.

Interested volunteers can contact the Mayor’s office at 248-796-5100 or e-mail ksiver@cityofsouthfield.com or dharmse@cityofsouthfield.com.

Senior or disabled residents who would like to sign up to get their leaves raked can contact the Mayor’s office at 1-248-796-5100.
