Southfield Mayor Kenson Siver, in partnership with Home Depot, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Great Lakes Ace Hardware of Southfield, will host The Big Rake on November 10, 17 and December 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. December 8 is reserved as a rain date.

The Big Rake is organized by the Mayor’s office to help seniors or disabled Southfield residents with fall lawn maintenance. Volunteers are needed to help rake leaves. Home Depot, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Great Lakes Ace Hardware of Southfield will donate paper yard bags for use at the event. Other dates and times may be scheduled depending on need. Last fall, more than 350 volunteers helped to clear over 120 yards.
