Summer in the City concert series concludes July 29 with live music from Straight Ahead
Several other music concerts and festivals still to come!
The Southfield Parks and Recreation Department will host the final Summer in the City concert of the season on Friday, July 29 from 7-9 p.m. on the front lawn of the Southfield Municipal Campus, 26000 Evergreen Road.
This free, family-friendly event will feature live music from virtuoso jazz ensemble Straight Ahead along with food available for purchase from Biellis Catering food truck, Motor City Treats food truck and Shelly’s Hot Dog. There will also be fun activities for kids with food trucks and other vendors onsite beginning at 6 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
Mark your calendars for the Eat to the Beat lunchtime concert on August 11, the 6th annual Kimmie Horne Jazz Festival August 12 & August 13, Jazz & Blues @ Your Library on August 17, and the Summer Wine Down Concert on August 19.
