The Southfield Public Library (SPL) is sponsoring an art contest to select a new design for SPL library cards in recognition of their 20th Anniversary in their current building. Participants are encouraged to showcase their best festive designs or highlight what they enjoy about the Southfield Public Library and its services. There will be two categories for the art competition and one winner will be selected for each category. The winning designs from each category will be featured on the new Southfield Public Library cards. The categories are children aged 13 and under and adults and teenagers aged 14 or older. Only one submission will be accepted per person. Entries will be accepted May 1 – June 23, 2023.

Entries will be accepted at the circulation desk or submitted online at www.southfieldlibrary.org. Paper applications will also be available at the Southfield Public Library. All submissions will be reviewed by library staff who will select the top five finalist entries from each category. The finalist designs will be available for viewing and public voting online and in-person at the Southfield Public Library from July 10-23.
