Southfield Public Arts Commission Presents “Attitudes & Images” Exhibition Opening April 16th

Mayor Kenson Siver and the Southfield Public Arts Commission invite residents and visitors to experience “Attitudes & Images,” a dynamic new art exhibition showcasing the work of 11 talented artists from the metro Detroit area.
The exhibition will open with a public Artist Reception on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 6–8 p.m. in the Southfield City Hall Main Lobby, 26000 Evergreen Road. The event is free and open to the public and will include an opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments.
The exhibition will remain on display April 16 through June 30, 2026, offering visitors an extended opportunity to explore a diverse collection of artwork spanning multiple styles and mediums.
“Attitudes & Images” reflects the Southfield Public Arts Commission’s ongoing commitment to promoting creativity, diversity, and community engagement. The exhibition brings together artists whose work explores themes ranging from identity and culture to memory, nature, and emotional expression.
Visitors can expect a wide range of artistic approaches, including painting, mixed media, textile art, photography, and sculpture. Many of the works will be available for purchase, providing an opportunity to support local artists.

Terrell Anglin, Arlinda Crossland, Daphne Means Curtis, Paul Curtis, Lynn Galbreath, Kim Adams House, Terrie Hylton, Amanda Koss, Debbie Lim, Alessandra Collar Lipman, and Steven Mealy.
About the Artists
Each artist brings a unique perspective and creative voice to the exhibition:
- Terrell Anglin explores the African American experience through pyrography and mixed media rooted in history and personal narrative.
- Arlinda Crossland creates vibrant, textured works inspired by Detroit’s cultural landscape.
- Daphne Means Curtis, a retired judge, produces intricate abstract and geometric designs.
- Paul Curtis uses portraiture and mixed media to reflect identity and human emotion.
- Lynn Galbreath is a nationally and internationally exhibited artist working across traditional and digital media.
- Kim Adams House creates abstract, textured works that explore memory, movement, and transformation.
- Terrie Hylton, PhD uses textiles and layered materials to examine human connection and social context.
- Amanda Koss is known for abstract expressionist works incorporating sustainable and recycled materials.
- Debbie Lim creates Feng Shui-inspired art and photography focused on balance and positive energy.
- Alessandra Collar Lipman produces emotionally resonant paintings inspired by vintage photography.
