Southfield Police Department to host Open House May 21

The Southfield Police Department will host an Open House on Sunday, May 21 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Southfield Police Department, 26000 Evergreen Road.

 

The free family-friendly event will feature a Southfield Police K9 demonstration at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., as well as a child safety puppet show at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy face painting, a bounce house, car seat safety inspections and a driving simulator. The event will also feature representatives from several local agencies, including: Southfield 9-1-1 Dispatch, Southfield Emergency Response Team, Detroit Mounted Police, Oakland County Aviation Unit and Southfield Police Recruitment.

 

The Police Open House is sponsored by the city of Southfield Police Department, Friends of the Southfield Police Department, Detroit BBQ Company, Fuddruckers, Safe Kids Metro Detroit, Take a Bite out of Crime, Kohl’s Injury Prevention Program, D&D Bicycles & Hockey, Denso, Thin Blue Line USA and Southfield A&T High School.
