Help local families in need while enjoying a night on the ice!

The City of Southfield Parks & Recreation Department invites residents of all ages to lace up their skates and give back this holiday season at Skate for a Cause, taking place Monday, November 24 from 5–6:50 p.m. at the Southfield Sports Arena, 26000 Evergreen Road.

Admission and skate rental are free with the donation of a non-perishable food item, which will help support local families in need this holiday season.

“Skate for a Cause is a fun way to bring the community together and make a difference,” said Parks & Recreation Programmer Nicole Bush. “Every can, box, or bag of food helps brighten the holidays for a Southfield family.”

A second Skate for a Cause event will also be held on Monday, December 23 from 5–6:50 p.m., offering another opportunity for residents to skate for free while giving back.
