February 10, 2026
As part of the City of Southfield’s Celebration of 100 years of Black History Month event series, Southfield Parks & Recreation will host The Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers Presents Love Stories on Friday, February 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the Southfield Pavilion. Hosted by acclaimed Detroit storyteller Satori Shakoor, Love Stories explores love in all its forms—romantic, familial, self-love, heartbreak, healing, and the bonds that shape who we are. The event offers a reflective and deeply human Black History Month experience centered on real stories shared live and straight from the heart.
The evening will feature storytelling by Judge Wade McCree, Crystal & Michael White, Mazie Jones, and Shannon Cason, along with special performances by Detroit singer Gwen Foxx and the Cass Tech Dance Workshop.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m. This event is geared toward people ages 18 and up. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at https://bit.ly/TwistedStorySfld26
