The Southfield Goodfellows is seeking monetary donations to purchase food, clothing & gifts for low-income families and senior citizens that live in Southfield and Lathrup Village as part of their “No Child Without a Christmas” holiday giveaway program.

The primary goal of the Southfield Goodfellows is to assure that no child in Southfield or Lathrup Village is forgotten during the Holiday Season. Each year, the Southfield Goodfellows works to ensure that the food requirements of needy families and senior citizens in the community are met. Southfield Goodfellows also provides assistance to individuals year-round through their Urgent Needs Program, which provides assistance for unforeseen hardships on a case-by-case basis, as long as funds are available. The City of Southfield Human Services Department manages the Urgent Needs Program on behalf of the Southfield Goodfellows. The Southfield Goodfellows is an all-volunteer non-profit 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides assistance through the coordinated efforts of donors and volunteers.

“We’re back to business! This year, we return to our pre-COVID restrictions/original operation,” Commented Iris Johnson, Southfield Goodfellows President. “We’ve reached out to our supporters to once again purchase gifts and necessities for the children this upcoming holiday season. We’re also asking for monetary donations to provide the families with gift cards for food and other needed items. Please help us help the families of Southfield and Lathrup Village.”
