Southfield City Council appoints Linnie Taylor to serve on Council

The Southfield City Council unanimously voted to appoint Linnie Taylor to serve on the city council at the September 11 committee-of-the-whole meeting as the fifth place candidate for Southfield City Council in the November 3, 2015 election. Councilwoman Taylor will serve out the remainder of Councilwoman Joan Seymour’s term until November 2017. Councilwoman Seymour passed away unexpectedly on August 29. 

 

Councilwoman Linnie Taylor has been a Southfield resident for more than 25 years and previously served on city council, the planning commission and the library board. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport University and a master’s degree in human resources management from Central Michigan University. Mrs. Taylor is also running for city council on the November 7, 2017 ballot.
