The city of Southfield and the American Red Cross will sponsor the 15th annual Southfield Community Blood Drive on Thursday, March 9 from 12 – 6 p.m. in the Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road at 10½ Mile Road. The drive was rescheduled from March 7.

The need for blood donations continues to be greater than ever. Everyone who is able to donate blood is strongly encouraged to do so. In order to donate blood, donors must be at least 17-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health. There is no upper age limit. Light refreshments will be available. Appointments are encouraged and can be made online at www.redcrossblood.org, enter the sponsor code: Southfield; or by calling the Red Cross at (800) 733-2767. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of I.D. when donating.
