OLHSA Water Assistance Day for low-income residents set for April 14

Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA) is pleased to announce Water Assistance Day to help low-income residents with water bills. Water Assistance Day will take place on Friday, April 14 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Oakland County Health Department headquarters located at 27725 Greenfield Road in Southfield.

OLHSA's Low Income Household Water Assistance Plan (LIHWAP) can provide up to $1,500 in assistance for residents living in qualifying cities, including Southfield. LIHWAP provides payment assistance for household accounts in arrears or disconnect status (including reconnect fees).

In order to receive assistance residents must provide the following documents:

  1. ID for all household members ages 18 and over.
  2. Proof of household income for the last 30 days.
  3. Social Security Card.
  4. Current water bill
