The City of Southfield proudly welcomes Joe Louis Southern Kitchen to the Southfield business community with a ceremonial Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting hosted by the Southfield Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, December 9 at 11 a.m. at the restaurant’s newest location, 29649 Northwestern Highway.

Joe Louis Southern Kitchen brings a bold new flavor to Southfield’s growing culinary scene, offering authentic Southern comfort dishes that celebrate tradition, community, and hospitality. The restaurant ownership group are long-time supporters of the Southfield restaurant community with a strong track record as repeat restaurateurs serving both Southfield and Lathrup Village. Their continued investment reflects confidence in the region’s economic development and commitment to locally rooted small businesses.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will include special remarks from:
•    Mayor Kenson Siver, City of Southfield
•    Jasmine Patton, Executive Director, Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce
•    Joe Louis Southern Kitchen Ownership Group

Attendance will also include elected Southfield City officials, business leaders, Chamber members, and community stakeholders coming together to support local entrepreneurship and small-business growth.

The ceremony will feature a special community presentation honoring the Southfield Police Department for its efforts supporting the annual Holiday Sleigh of Giving, a program dedicated to providing holiday support to families in need throughout the city. Gifting children ages 4-12 (boys & girls).
