The last Gazebo Concert of the summer featuring the Kathleen Murray Band will take place July 29 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Burgh Historical Park, 26060 Berg Road.

Formed as a blues-forward offshoot of the acclaimed Groove Council, the Kathleen Murray Band delivers high-energy performances infused with soul, spotlighting selections from artists like Etta James, Susan Tedeschi, Jonny Lang, and Curtis Mayfield. Led by powerhouse vocalist Kathleen Murray—a Detroit Music Award nominee for Outstanding Vocalist across more than a decade—the band is known for its passionate stage presence and eclectic repertoire. Murray's history includes sharing the stage with legends such as The Temptations, Alto Reed, Mark Farner and Thornetta Davis, and she continues to perform with both the Groove Council and her duo, Soul Commission.

Grab your lawn chair or a blanket to sit on, pack a picnic dinner (no alcohol please) and join us for a wonderful summer of great music in a beautiful setting. Gazebo Concerts are free to the public and free parking.

The Burgh Historical Park is a Historic district that contains several of the oldest buildings in Southfield. It was the first business and government center in Southfield and dates back to 1837. The Gazebo was built in 1988 by the City of Southfield as a focal point for the Burgh Historical Park.
