City of Southfield offices and library closed November 3 for Election Day voting

City of Southfield offices and the Southfield Public Library, including all non-essential functions and facilities, will be closed on Tuesday, November 3 for the General Election. All 36 voting precincts throughout Southfield, including Precincts 7 & 8 at City Hall, will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

All public safety, public works and other essential city services will continue to function as normal. City offices will re-open for regular business at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

The City of Southfield has recently installed eight (8) new secure Absentee Ballot Drop-Off Boxes throughout the city as an additional voter convenience. Absentee ballots may be dropped off at any box 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week until 8 p.m. on November 3, 2020; however, voters are encouraged to not wait until the last minute to cast their vote.
