The City of Southfield has launched a COVID Vaccine Hotline at (248) 796-4529 to assist seniors and other residents without Internet access to register for eligible vaccination appointments. Staff from the City’s Human Services Department will register callers for Oakland County’s “Save Your Spot” in line for COVID vaccinations. Please note: this service is for residents to “Save Your Spot” only. Oakland County is the responsible authority for scheduling appointments and administering vaccinations.
To participate, callers should leave their name and telephone number and staff will return calls as received to get more information to register residents for the first available vaccine appointment for which they are eligible. The hotline is open 24-hours; however, staff will return calls Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Major pharmacies including Meijer's, CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens have all announced they will also be offering the COVID-19 vaccine to those who qualify to receive it as soon as they have it available for administering. Additionally, many other healthcare providers, insurance carriers and non-profit organizations will be offering appointments for vaccination.
