City of Southfield Inauguration of newly-elected officials set for November 20
The city of Southfield will hold an inauguration for newly-elected officials on Monday, November 20 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, located in the Southfield Municipal Campus at 26000 Evergreen Road.
Recently re-elected City Council members Nancy L.M. Banks, Daniel Brightwell, and Michael “Ari” Mandelbaum as well as newly elected City Council members Charles Hicks, Coretta Houge and City Clerk Janet Jackson will be sworn into office at the inauguration ceremony. The oaths of office and will be administered by the Honorable Sheila Johnson, Chief Judge of the 46th District Court. FOX 2 Detroit legal analyst/reporter/and weekend morning anchor Charlie Langton will serve as the emcee for the event and legendary songstress Kimmie Horne will sing the National Anthem.
