City of Southfield to host senior dance October 19

The Southfield Human Services Department, in conjunction with the Commission on Senior Adults (COSA), the Southfield Total Living Commission and Southfield Parks & Recreation, will host a Senior Dance on Thursday, October 19 from 7-9 p.m. in Room 115 of the Southfield Parks & Recreation Building, 26000 Evergreen Road.

 

Mr. Bobby Green of Whirl of Entertainment will be at the event teaching dancers of all skill levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) how to salsa from 7-8 p.m. with line dance, hustle and ballroom instruction following from 8-9 p.m. All styles of dance are welcome throughout the entire event. Light refreshments will be served.

 

Advance tickets are available at Southfield Human Services at $6 for residents and $7 for non-residents. Tickets purchased at the door will be $7 for residents and $8 for non-residents. High School students (16 years-old and older) can purchase tickets for $3. All proceeds will benefit the Southfield Human Services Emergency Relief Fund.
