The City of Southfield has declared a snow emergency until further notice due to the hazardous weather conditions. City Hall, 46th District Court and the Southfield Public Library will close at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, February 2, 2022).  The Southfield Municipal Campus will also be closed on Thursday, February 3, 2022. All 46th District Court dockets will be adjourned.

All vehicles must be moved off Southfield streets to facilitate snow plows and emergency vehicles. Failure to do so may result in a ticket. Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

By City Code, homeowners, renters and businesses are responsible for clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and curb cuts in front of their homes within a twenty-four (24) consecutive hour time period. Residents are also reminded to not leave pets outside and to assist elderly or handicapped residents who may need help with snow removal. Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe!
