Burgh Historical Park Tree Lighting Ceremony set for November 28 at 6:30 p.m.


The city of Southfield will host a Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, November 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Burgh Historical Park, located at 26080 Berg Road on the northeast corner of Civic Center Drive.

 

The ceremony will include caroling with the Advanced Choir of Southfield High School for the Arts and Technology as Santa, Mrs. Claus and the winner of the City’s 33rd annual Ride with Santa Contest arrive on a horse-drawn sleigh from the North Pole. Following the tree lighting, guests are invited inside the 1854 Burgh Church for performances by the Advanced Choir of Southfield High School for the Arts and Technology and the Southfield Tappers as well as visits with Santa in the Burgh Gazebo. Free refreshments and fresh roasted marshmallows will be served and parking is available on-site. Most activities will take place outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
