The city of Southfield will host a Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Burgh Historical Park, located at 26080 Berg Road on the northeast corner of Civic Center Drive.

The ceremony will include caroling with your family and neighbors as Santa, Mrs. Claus and the winner of the City’s 35th annual Ride with Santa Contest arrive on a horse-drawn sleigh from the North Pole. The Advanced Choir of Southfield High School for The Arts and Technology will be leading the crowd in the sing along to welcome Santa to Southfield. Following the tree lighting, guests are invited to enjoy roasted marshmallows as they wait in line for visits with Santa in the Burgh Gazebo. The historic 1854 Burgh Church will also be open for guests to warm up and enjoy free refreshments. Most activities will take place outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Parking is available on-site.
