The city of Southfield will announce the winner of the 2020 Southfield Photo Prize at an awards reception on Thursday, October 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the municipal campus picnic shelter pavilion located behind Southfield Sports Arena Pool, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The city of Southfield sponsored the 4^th Southfield Photo Prize competition and outdoor exhibition this summer to showcase the natural and architectural beauty throughout the city. Over 140 submissions were received and initially reviewed by the Total Living Commission which selected the top 25 photos that were eligible for public voting from July 10 – August 31. The Photo Prize finalists were enlarged and placed on public display at city hall and the parks & recreation building with online voting at www.cityofsouthfield.com. The photograph that received the most overall votes will be featured in the City’s 2021 calendar. The other finalists may also be featured in the calendar and other city marketing materials. All Photo Prize finalists will also receive their enlarged photos to keep.  

The ceremony will be held outdoors and attendees are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. Face masks will be required and social distancing will be observed. The ceremony is open to the public; however, attendees are requested to RSVP to Community Relations at lcarr@cityofsouthfield.com or (248) 796-5130 by September 29. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony.
