Discount Amusement Park Tickets
The Southfield Parks & Recreation Department, in association with the MRPA, is selling tickets for selected area amusement parks at discount rates. Tickets will be available after May 1 through September 5 (Labor Day weekend). You must come in person to the Parks & Recreation Information Desk to purchase tickets. We do not accept checks as payment for amusement park tickets, cash and credit cards (Visa or MasterCard) only. For more information, please call (248) 796-4620.

Did You Know?


  • The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for over 780 acres of park land and open spaces at 33 sites throughout the City, including 333 acres of dedicated nature preserves.

  • The City of Southfield is the home of Michigan’s first baseball field for children with any physical or mental disability. Working with The Miracle League, the City constructed a special field designed with a custom synthetic turf and handicapped accessible dugouts, restrooms and drinking fountains.
  • The restoration of the Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve won the 2009 Environmental Project of the Year from the Michigan Chapter of the American Public Work Association.
  • The Parks & Recreation Department offers hundreds of recreation programs at facilities which include two nine-hole golf courses, a lighted driving range, a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool, a senior adult center, an indoor athletic field house, an indoor ice arena and a neighborhood recreation center.

  • The sand volleyball courts at Civic Center Park were named Best In Detroit by the readers of Real Detroit Weekly Magazine in their annual Real Best of Detroit for 2009.
