Southfield Police Department will present the ‘Girls Night Out’ safety
seminar for teenage girls and their parents or guardians on Tuesday,
February 26 and Wednesday, March 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the
Southfield High School Auditorium, 24675 Lahser Road.
The seminar will provide valuable
information specifically targeted to teenage girls regarding personal
safety and awareness, self defense strategies and techniques, how to
avoid becoming the victim of a crime, and what to do if you are the
victim of a crime. The seminar will also include timely Internet safety
information and tips regarding inappropriate content, strangers and cyber-bullying while online.
The seminars are free; however,
space is limited. To attend, please e-mail parent/guardian name,
student’s name, age, current school, year of graduation, and phone

The seminars are open only to female high school students (grades 9th through 12th) and their parents or guardians. NO YOUNGER SIBLINGS OR STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED as topics and videos are not appropriate for all ages. For more information, contact Officer Pate at (248) 796-5360.
