City Hall front lawn & Southfield Pavilion (map)

Get new ideas to freshen up your home and yard in one convenient location

The City of Southfield will present the inaugural Southfield Home & Garden Expo on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Southfield Municipal Complex, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The event will feature numerous home improvement companies in the Southfield Pavilion and garden/landscaping vendors on the front lawn of City Hall in conjunction with the City’s traditional Southfield Flower Day event. (In the event of inclement weather, all activities will be located in the Southfield Pavilion.) The Southfield Home & Garden Expo will also include free admission, parking and giveaways; home improvement and gardening workshops and demonstrations; fun activities for youth including inflatables and free kids’ workshop including project kit and apron provided The Home Depot; onsite pet adoption between 12-4 p.m. provided by Almost Home Animal Rescue, and food trucks including Motor City Dogg and the Pita Post.

Drop off your old batteries (AAA, AA, C, D and 9-volt, cordless drill packs, cell phone, laptop, and other batteries) at the Battery Giant booth for proper recycling at an approved battery recycling facility. Every year, over 300 million pounds of batteries end up in landfills, contaminating the environment.  By recycling your batteries – plastics, metals and other materials can be recovered to make new batteries – greatly helping our environment in the process.
