The city of Southfield will host the 6th annual Small Business Conference on Friday, July 30 from 7:30-10:30 a.m. in the meeting room at the Southfield Public Library, 26300 Evergreen Road.
This free conference will provide local businesses with an opportunity to network, share ideas and to learn more about resources that can help their businesses grow. The event will feature welcoming remarks by Mayor Brenda L. Lawrence followed by an overview of services offered by the Southfield Business Development Department, Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Oakland County Business Center, and the Southfield Public Library. Kirk Armstrong of Gerry Weinberg & Associates will present "Effective networking techniques;" Bill Springer of Focused Consulting will present the "5C’s of Credit;" and Benjamin Cunningham, CPA, will present "Automobiles, Travel and Entertainment Expenses." A continental breakfast and ample networking opportunities will also be provided.
