The city of Southfield will host the Family Fun & Safety Night on Wednesday, June 30 from 5:30-9:00 p.m. on the Southfield Municipal Complex Front Lawn, 26000 Evergreen Road.
This free event will offer something for every member of the family, including: soccer, PKSA Karate, Kronk Gym Youth Boxing, football and cheerleading clinics, a children’s fun area with inflatables, rock wall climbing, Roscoe and Da the Clown, Roary the Lion from the Detroit Lions, and the Oakland County Parks & Recreation’s Diaper Derby. The American Heart Association and The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Southfield will be on hand with health and safety information as well as members of the Southfield Police Department’s K-9 Division, D.A.R.E. Car and Officers, Mobile Command Unit, General Purpose Vehicle, ATV, Special Entry Response Team, Crime Prevention, Community Policing and Neighborhood Watch.
Don’t forget your lawn chairs or blankets for our special family movie under the stars featuring Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel presented by Park*It Family Fun Nights. The movie will begin at 8:15 p.m. and run until approximately 10 p.m.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from several vendors including Little Caesars Love Kitchen, Jackson’s 5-Star Catering, The Eatery and Potbelly Sandwich Shop.
