The City of
Southfield, in partnership with the City Centre Advisory Board and 10
Ten Complete Living, will sponsor the “Eat to the Beat” lunch concert
series every Thursday this summer June 22 – September 14, from 12 noon
– 2:00 p.m. at City Centre Plaza located on Central Park Boulevard, one
block west of Evergreen between Civic Center Drive and the I-696
Service Drive. This year’s music lineup is as follows:
June 22 - Larry Lee & Back in the Day (Funk, R&B, Classic Rock & Jazz)
June 29 - Nadir~Distorted Soul (Urban Funk)
July 6 - The Brothers Groove (Funky Jazz & Rock)
July 13 - GEQ (Classic Jazz & BeBop)
July 20 - Soull Shakerr (Rock, Ballads & Psychedelic Soul)
July 27 - Straight Ahead (Classic & Original Jazz)
Aug. 3 - The Orbitsuns (Rockabilly)
Aug. 10 - HotSauce (Pop, Funk & Motown)
Aug. 17 - Motor City Street Band (New Orleans-style brass band)
Aug. 24 - Ed Nuccilli & Plural Circle (18-piece BeBop orchestra)
Aug. 31 - Orquesta Sensacional (Hot Latin band)
Sept. 7 - On Que (Smooth Jazz and R&B)
Sept. 14 - The Sun Messengers (Horn-driven R&B)
The City of
Southfield, the City Centre Advisory Board and 10 Ten Complete Living
will again provide a free trolley service for the 2006 Eat to the Beat
concert series. The trolleys will pickup passengers at the main
entrance of 10 major Southfield office buildings between 11:15 a.m. –
1:45 p.m. each Thursday this summer.
Route 1 – begins on the south side of City Centre Plaza

4. Maccabees Center, 25800 Northwestern in between Real Estate One & Donor Buildings

Route 2 – begins on the south side of City Centre Plaza

The trolley rides
provide a fun and convenient way for concertgoers to enjoy their lunch
break while combining the modern-day comforts of a smooth ride along
with nostalgic charm. Keep the car parked at lunch every Thursday this
summer and leave the driving to the conductor.
All concerts are
free and open to the public. Various food vendors sell a variety of hot
