The Southfield Human Services Department, in partnership with Lighthouse of Oakland County (a HUD certified housing counseling agency), will provide free individual mortgage delinquency and foreclosure prevention counseling on Wednesday, May 26 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Southfield Public Library auditorium, 26300 Evergreen Road.
The counseling sessions are geared towards homeowners who have not yet lost their homes but have fallen behind on their mortgage payments or are in the early stages of the foreclosure process. Counselors will be on hand to answer general questions and to offer a free budget analysis.
