Twelve Mile Road resurfacing project to begin May 10

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will begin resurfacing Twelve Mile Road from 400 feet west of Evergreen Road to 400 feet west of Southfield Road on the Southfield Lathrup Village border. The project will also include upgrading pedestrian crosswalks to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

Twelve Mile Road will remain open to traffic at all times; however, it will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Access to all homes, businesses and schools along the road as well as all side streets will be maintained at all times. Evergreen Road will be closed at the north and south sides of the Twelve Mile intersection for a period of up to 30 days during the project. The project is expected to begin on Monday, May 10 and be completed in September.
