Service provides instant city updates to subscribers
The city of Southfield has launched a new e-mail/text instant notification system for Southfield residents and businesses. It is one of the newest, fastest and most cost-effective ways to update the community about current City news and information via e-mail or wireless device.
The service is provided free-of-charge by Oakland County through GovDelivery, the world's leading provider of government-to-citizen communication solutions. Sign-up is quick and easy right from the City’s Web site. Simply log on to www.cityofsouthfield.com and enter your e-mail address in the 'Subscribe' field located in the upper right hand corner of the homepage. From here users will verify their e-mail address (and/or wireless information) and set their preferences. Registered users will then begin receiving updates as they are released via their preferred method.
