The City of
Southfield will present the annual Burgh Park Gazebo Concert series
beginning on Wednesdays, June 21 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., at the Burgh
Historical Park located on the northeast corner of Civic Center and
Berg Road. The concerts are held every Wednesday through August 16. The
2006 lineup is as follows:
June 21 - Tom Saunders’ Detroit Jazz All Stars (Dixieland & Chicago-style Jazz)
July 5 - Motor City Street Band (New Orleans-style brass band)
July 12 - Straight Ahead Trio (Smooth, cool & classic jazz)
July 19 - Phil Ogilvies’ Rhythm Kings (Big Band Hot Jazz of the `20s & `30s)
July 26 - Bob Seeley & Bob Baldori (Boogie-Woogie piano wizards)
Aug. 2 - Royal Garden Trio & Friends (Gypsy Jazz, classics & superb musicianship)
Aug. 9 - One Flight Up (Pop, folk, ballads & more)
Aug. 16 - Paul King & the Rhythm Society Swing Orchestra (Classic 16-piece Big Band)
