The city of Southfield and volunteers from the Accounting Aid Society will provide free income tax preparation assistance for low-income Southfield residents every Wednesday, February 3 – April 7, between 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Southfield Parks and Recreation building located at 26000 Evergreen Road.
The service is available to residents whose annual income is $25,000 or less for individuals; $50,000 or less for families. Service is by appointment only. Call the Human Services Department at (248) 796-4540 to schedule an appointment. A Homebound Tax program (mail-in service) is also available to seniors and the physically handicapped who are unable to visit the tax site.
