The Southfield
Veterans’ Organization will host an ice cream social/donation drive on
Saturday, August 5, 2006, 7-10 p.m., in room 115 of the Parks &
Recreation building located at 26000 Evergreen Road.
Tickets are
$5 and will cover refreshments, entertainment, dancing and a silent
auction of donated items, the proceeds of which will benefit selected
charities. The public is encouraged to donate items such as vases,
pictures, jewelry, clocks, watches, tools, dishware, etc. by August 1.
