Oakland County Parks will present the “2009 Throwback to Motown Bash” as part of its Concert in the Park music series Thursday, August 27 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Southfield’s Catalpa Oaks Park located off Catalpa between 12 and 13 Mile Roads.
The concert celebrates Motown Record’s 50th anniversary and will feature a performance by popular rhythm and blues band Larry Lee and Back in the Day. The free event will also feature kids’ activities beginning at 6 p.m. with an inflatable bouncer and raffle with prizes. Ice cream, soft drinks, water and light snacks will be available for purchase.
