The City Clerk’s
Office will be participating in a county-wide Passport Fair on
Saturday, September 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon to accept and process
applications for U.S. passports.
To apply for a U.S. Passport, applicants are required to submit:
1. Proof of U.S. Citizenship (original birth certificate);
2. Proof of identification (driver’s license or state ID);
3. Two (2) 2” x 2” passport photos on white or off white background;
4. Application fees:
(A) Check or Money Order payable to the U.S. Department of State ($67
for adults 16 years and up; $52 for minors 15 years and younger), and
(B) $30 cash execution fee.
On December 31,
2006, all U.S. citizens traveling by air or sea to or from Canada,
Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda will be
required to present a U.S. Passport. On December 31, 2007, the
requirement for a passport will be extended to include all land border
crossings as well.
