The Southfield City Council unanimously voted to appoint Linnie Taylor to serve on the city council at the June 22 council meeting. Councilwoman Taylor will serve out former Council President Pro Tem Sylvia Jordan’s term until November 2011. The City Council also voted Councilman Myron Frasier to serve as the new Council President Pro Tem.
Councilwoman Linnie Taylor has been a Southfield resident for more than 17 years and previously served on the City’s Library Board. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport University and a master’s degree in human resources management from Central Michigan University.
