Jazz ensemble Straight Ahead will perform a free concert on Saturday, June 13 at 7 p.m. at Beech Woods Recreation Center, located at 22200 Beech Road on block south of 9 Mile Road.
Straight Ahead will perform their signature blend of traditional, transitional and contemporary jazz. These five women, widely recognized for their eclectic and soulful approach to creating music, move their sound comfortably from mainstream jazz to R&B ballads, avant-garde to Brazilian funk. Bring a blanket or chair; refreshments will be available for purchase.
