The City of
Southfield Public Works Department will launch a new water billing
system beginning in October that will improve customer service and
simplify the payment process at no additional cost to the customers.
The new and
improved water bills are the result of the City’s newly implemented and
fully integrated municipal computer software. The old postcard type
bills will be replaced with a full page form, providing more detailed
information including water consumption, a graph showing monthly
consumption over the year, and a message section where the City can
notify customers of upcoming events, services or other miscellaneous
items. All water customers will also receive a new account number as
part of the new water billing system. The new water bills will now also
include a convenient remittance envelope for customers to use to send
payment.

information about the new water bills, contact the Southfield Water and
Sewer Department, a division of Public Works, at (248) 796-4850.
