Free rain garden seminar at Southfield Public Library Monday, February 9
The Southeast Oakland County Water Authority (SOCWA) and The Stewardship Network-Lakeplain Cluster will present a free seminar on rain gardens on Monday, February 9 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Southfield Public Library, 26300 Evregreen Road.
The seminar will provide participants with a practical, how-to-do-it approach to rain gardens for ecological gardeners working with clay soil sites. Speakers will address such topics as: planning your home rain garden, soil mixes, sustainable landscape designs, and native wildflower and shrub usage.
